Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Technology Officer, manages end user hardware devices, installs and updates software applications and provides technical support to end users on hardware and application problems for Traverse City Light & Power, which includes Traverse City Light & Power Fiber, (Utility). This position will also assist in maintaining and supporting the utility’s computer and network infrastructure along with performing a variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation, and training tasks to ensure performance meets utility and user requirements.

Salary range $68,643 – $89,157, dependent on education and experience, with a competitive benefits package.

Under general supervision of the Customer & Employee Relations Manager, this position supervises the work of the customer service department providing exemplary customer service when addressing all customer inquiries and resolving problems with emphasis on positive public/customer relations for Traverse City Light & Power, which includes Traverse City Light & Power Fiber, (Utility). This position will also be tasked with performing duties of the department as necessary, including the ability to identify and triage utility billing issues, ensuring a seamless handoff to the Utility Billing Department that reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Salary range $68,643 – $89,157, dependent on education and experience, with a competitive benefits package.

The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) is accepting applications for a Journeyman Lineworker. An employee in this position will operate, construct, reconstruct, maintain and repair the electric distribution system and equipment up to 15kV overhead and underground; transmission system up to 138kV throughout the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities nine (9) square mile service territory in a safe and efficient manner. This individual must be physically mobile, mechanically inclined, climb poles up to 100′ above ground and have the ability to perform outside work at any time in any weather conditions.

Training and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required;
  • Completion of an Apprenticeship Program resulting in recognition as a Journeyman status;
  • Electric utility experience preferred;
  • Must have a valid Michigan operator’s license; and
  • Must have a valid CDL license.

Bay City Electric Light and Power, a division of the City of Bay City, Michigan is seeking full-time Electrical Journeyman Lineworkers to immediately fill multiple openings. This specialized experienced position earns a competitive salary of $49.53 per hour. Our lineworkers are responsible for the construction, maintenance, operations and outage restoration on the utility’s distribution facilities. They operate in a safe and efficient manner, to assure our customers reliable and affordable electricity.
